With the right supports . . .

Everyone can communicate..

About Us

Communication Capable Foundation

Communication is a basic human right!  However, many people with disabilities, such as non-speaking autistic people, struggle to communicate.  To compound the difficulties, a lack of spoken language is often equated to lack of intelligence.

We are a non-profit organization advocating for appropriate communication supports.  We believe that non-speaking individuals are capable of communication and education, given the right supports.  We believe that communication is the first step in achieving a life with dignity and being a valued member of the community.

In their words . .

Josh —  Age 18

“My mouth won’t let me speak, so I communicate using a letterboard.”

Anantha – Age 12

“I want people to know me. When you speak,  people know it’s you because the words come out of your mouth.  But my words are on paper. So when my words are read, it’s important to me that people know who they came from.”

Rumi – Age 6

“In the early years one does not always remember everything. So the memories we do have are extra special.
RPM saved me. Thank you.
I love my life with RPM”

Craig – Age 20

“I can finally tell you lots of my time I think about the environment.”

Ishaan – Age 14

“Most consider me non-verbal because no direct conversation happens.
In fact there are a lot of ideas I have that I would love to share – to spread the notion that non-talking does not mean no ideas. It can have a miraculous impact on the world.”
